About Carol

Carol Kulniszewski, a mother, a friend, an advisor, a warm and caring woman whom we all knew and loved.

She was a graduate of Cleveland Hill High School, a resident of Alden and Lancaster, NY. An amazing mother to four children and a pillar of strength to so many. Carol always found a way to reach out and help when someone was lost or in need of a  hand, an ear, or a shoulder. She always found a way to give just the right amount of love and support. She will be truly missed and always fondly remembered.

Carol, though strong at heart and mind, was plagued with many medical issues throughout her adult life. Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in her forties, and suffering her first heart attack in her early fifties she struggled for many years to live her life to its fullest. Somehow she did just that, lived everyday with the vibrancy and energy of a healthy happy woman. In the summer of 2009 Carol suffered a third heart attack and was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma already in its advanced stages.

Her last five weeks of life were spent in Buffalo General Hospital surrounded by her children with the love and support of family and many friends. She passed peacefully in the night holding her children's hands.

She was an amazing woman that lit up this world and touched everyone she met. She changed lives and nurtured the souls of all around her.
We hope to continue her legacy and memory by gathering once a year in her honor.

Each year we will raise money to benefit finding cures and treatments for the diseases that took Carol from us;
This year we will donate to:

Madison McCarthy Cardiac Care Coalition
